Browser tabs and trello cards

We use multiple boards and keep them all open as browser tabs. When reading notifications and need to go to the card in question that's on a different tab it directs the current tab to the board instead of the already open one. Be nice if one could click on the card from the notifications and have it go to the already open tab.

I'm afraid that's the way browsers work, it's nothing to do with Trello.
