Giphy Power-Up to be deprecated December 30th, 2024

Hello Trello Community!

We want to let you know: The Giphy Power-Up is being deprecated on December 30, 2024. It will remain active until December 30th on boards where it's currently enabled. As of November 26, 2024, it can't be enabled on new boards, or re-enabled if it is turned off on existing boards. On December 30th it will be automatically turned off on all boards. At that point, it will no longer be accessible on card backs but any existing animated gifs will continue to appear. 

This deprecation also effects the Stickers feature. On December 30th you will no longer be able to search for Giphy images but you can upload customer stickers if you are part of paid workspace.

We don't need giphy for this, you can upload gifs:

• As card attachments and covers
• In card descriptions
• As board backgrounds
• As stickers

Thats all the Gif fun we need

So sad.  While some don't see the need or want, I will surely miss the ease of adding them.  Sure we supposedly can add, but I'm a bit too lazy to do that since I was spoiled having it available in the app.

The Giphy power-up has been powered down. It feels Santa gave me coal in my stocking. It was fun while it lasted but work shouldn't be fun apparently. One star
