Continued Education (CE) reporting for Attending Atlassian Global Events

Hello

I am posting this here as the question might be of interest to others who are working on certification renewals.

One way to earn CE's is to renew certifications is to "Attend an Atlassian global Event (Team, Unleash). May I ask for the following clarifications:

1. Can CE's only be claimed for this if the attendance is in person, or can I also claim CEs if I watch global event content via the "On Demand" library virtually? Specifically, I registered for the Teams '24 Barcelona event virtually. Can I claim CEs for that?

2. If the answer is yes: How many CEs can I claim? The CE reporting portal populates the submission form with 30 CEs. Does this mean 30 CEs can be claimed for attending Barcelona Teams '24 virtual, no matter how much content I watch?

3. What proof do I upload that I watched the content or registered for the event virtually? Would an email indicating that the content was provided to me virtually be sufficient?

Thanks.

Hi @Dietmar Doerschlag  Thank you for the questions!
I also recommend people look over the Maintain your certifications page on Atlassian University.

1. Both in person and virtual attendance can be used. But keep in mind that only one global event submission can be used in a renewal cycle. If you are planning on watching more than three learning sessions, you might want to submit those as "Completed Coursework" instead, as there is no limit on the number of those activities.

2. Yes, you will earn 30 CE units if you select "Attended an Atlassian global event".

3. An email showing the content was provided is sufficient. Or you could grab a screenshot of the content. Ideally we will have all of the systems (events, UNI, and CertMetrics) integrated so that no proof is needed, but that solution is not currently in the pipeline and the CertMetrics application requires some proof be included when entering an activity.

I hope this was helpful!
