New courses / video content

Hi

I have 2 questions:

Some of the free content has the old designs of JIRA - does the paid content use the most up to date version?

Also browsing through the forums I have noticed "new certification" mentioned - is there a new course going to be released in 2021 that I should hold back on to do - or can I currently study towards to one of them now?

Hi Paul,

The paid content is fairly similar to the existing content out there on the web.

As Atlassian constantly update the UI, it's not very practical to update the content constantly. Granted, some of the content is a few years old.

Most importantly, while the UI may change, the core content is vastly the same - core JQL (without apps/add-ons), schemes, agile boards and software queues are much the same.

You are correct in that there will be new certifications coming soon. Whether or not you take them will be up to you. Some questions to think about:

• Where is your current Jira/Confluence (Data Center or Cloud)? Cloud certifications are relatively new, so won't change, but we are expecting new DC certs towards the end of the year hopefully.
• What are you looking to achieve - for personal learning, current employer or future employment?

There's also content in other places - YouTube, Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and so on, with newer UI elements, but the question of what you're looking to get out of it stands
