After ACP-120 (Jira Admin) and AC-520, what else would you take (more inside)?

John Price September 3, 2024

I have expert-level knowledge of Atlassian Cloud and DC products (almost 20 years in all!) but I am job hunting and want to fill in some certs to bolster my resume.  I took both ACP-520 (Cloud Org Admin) and ACP-120 (Jira Admin for Cloud) and passed pretty easily. As others have said, I did pick up a few tips I hadn't heard before, so I found them valuable.

What else should I take? I'm up for a couple of roles using JSM and one that's a Data Center install.  Maybe ACP-420 (Jira Service Projects for Cloud) and ACP-100 (Jira Admin for DC)? Neither should be too hard but of course there's the $$.

Thanks!

@John Price By the way, if you have time to become an Online Atlassian Community Leader (involves a certain level of activity per quarter), you can take each exam free once. It sounds like you have extensive experience and knowledge such that answering questions and helping others on the forums would be simple for you.

Hey, that's a great idea! I wasn't aware of that. I'll definitely check it out.

Information about becoming an Atlassian Community Leader: https://ace.atlassian.com/leaders/

Atlassian has Event leaders, and Online leaders. For Online, it will help to have a history of about 3+ months being active and answering questions on the Forums. They will likely want to see at least 20 questions answered and at least 10 answers that were accepted as an answer. I believe the general idea is that you are committed to being involved and active - yet at the same time they understand career seasons and that, for example, you may have more time to be involved on the forums during different seasons of your career.
