REST API - Can I create Team managed project with custom workflow and statuses?

Hi, currently I have done in multiple steps a setup of new project via the API. I create global statuses, workflow, transitions, workflow scheme and a new project where I set the workflow.

The problem is that the new project is "Company managed" and I don't find an option to create it as "Team managed". Even if I don't use the custom workflow and statuses I still can't make the project "team managed".

Is there any way to do what I want to do or the API does not allow this yet?

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

The REST API does not currently support creation of a Team Managed project.

Although a responder on this post claims that they did it.
