Suddenly i am unable to push/clone any code changes from my local to gitlab and vice versa via source tree. Getting below error message:
Hello @Subhashree Bagchi
According to that error message you should use a personal access token instead of a password.
You will find more info on GitLab' documentation: Personal access tokens | GitLab
i did setup a personal token but not sure in sourcetree what further steps needs to be done

I do not have sourcetree installed myself but if you want to change the currenlty saved credential in Sourcetree to the new personal token you'll have to edit your authentication details for gitlab.
I think it's under the "accounts" menu.
