You do not have permission to open the application - Big Sur, Intel Mac

Big Sur - 11.4

Intel Mac NOT M1

SourceTree app 4.1.1 (latest as I write this)

I am getting the dreaded MacOS You do not have permission to open the application. I don't have any problems opening other applications but somehow SourceTree has always been a pain.

When I check for code sign I get this message

/Applications/Sourcetree.app: code object is not signed at all

In subcomponent: /Applications/Sourcetree.app/Contents/Frameworks/Sparkle.framework

When I check for signature I get this message

Package "Sourcetree.app":

Status: package is invalid (checksum did not verify)

There is another suggestion about BigSur not able to read UPX compressed libraries but the app developers should be taking care of that part.

Any solutions to this?
