Taking the diff of two files simultaneously in WinMerge results in an error with the second one.

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I am using Windows 11. Performing the following steps in SourceTree results in an error in WinMerge.
- With WinMerge set as the diff tool, display the differences of one file using Ctrl + D.
- Without closing WinMerge opened in step 1, display the differences of another file using Ctrl + D.
Doing so results in the following error on the second instance of WinMerge:
