Via the Commandline it is possible to get the diff between a file from branch1 and branch2. Is this currently possible in SourceTree for Windows?

Yes, you can display a diff between any 2 points in history by Ctrl-clicking the 2 commits in the log view. You can also get a shortcut to diffing between any other point in history and your current state by right-clicking in the sidebar or the log and selecting 'Diff against current'.

Do you have a screenshot for the second method? I can't find it.

Actually it's just on items in the sidebar (branches, tags), not in the log list, sorry. Right-click another branch or a tag for example and select 'Diff Against Current'.

Ok, this works for me. But our repository gets many changes each day and its a bigger repository, so the list of file changes is verly long. And currently there is no search edit or something like this. Can this be added or a right click option like "Blame Selected"?

Like "Diff against branch" and than a submenu with the branches?

Hey Lars,

You can always file this as a feature request on jira.atlassian.com, we read all requests on there and they're filed in a place which we use to develop SourceTree. The project for Windows is SRCTREEWIN and for Mac it's SRCTREE. If you file it with as much detail as you can then it makes it easier for us to review them.

Hope that helps :)
