Modified file tree should be expanded by default in commit screen

We're exploring migration to Git and noticed that the commit screen shows the hierarchy of modified files but doesn't expand the folders.

When selecting files or hunks to commit this just adds more clicks - slowing down the process. Is there an option to expand the file tree by default?

Don't see any discussion about this community - and cannot see any options for this.
