I'm very new to source control and I'm hoping someone out there can help an old dog learn a new trick. I have a few files listed under the Unstaged files section in Sourcetree. None of these files contain changes I need to push out. Can I just right click and remove these from the unstaged section or does that actually remove the file from my local repo? Are staged files the only files that get pushed?
