Fetch from a specified branch in Sourcetree

Edited

Is it possible to have the pull button display how many commits you are behind a separate specified branch? Since fetch only seems to do this for changes the current active branch.

Essentially I'd like to be notified when changes are made to the original source I cloned my branch from so I can pull in those changes before I try and create a pull request into that branch.

The only alternative is to just regularly pull from the other branch into my current branch, or to right click on the branch and do a diff in the remote section. But I'd prefer an automatic solution to be visible. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.
