There are 1100 non-resolved bugs for SourceTree for Mac as of now, the oldest dating eight years into the past. Many are supposedly of low or medium priority, but others are really a pain:
SCRTREE-1971 for example is five years old, and as I had to find out today, still present in the most recent version. Others need to be verified since two years, although they are about crashes (SRCTREE-3282, SRCTREE-3285), while many issues seem to have multiple duplicates (like "crash when creating repo on Bitbucket").
I would think that there is some effort needed to clean this up, and while I acknowledge that it is for free, there is still a reason for Atlassian putting it out there with their name on it - which in turn should be a reason to get the thing in some better shape.
What do you think?
