Tagging other Atlassian users in Wiki content

alexxs August 16, 2012

I was trying to tag another user in Wiki content. Initially I just put her name in the page content and instructed her to search on her own name. Then I discovered you can actually tag other users, such as @Firstname Lastname. However, when I changed all plaintext instances of her name to user tags, I could no longer find any of the pages on which I'd tagged her user. When I click to her user page, the tags aren't visible anywhere. How does one find all instances where a user has been tagged in some content?

Hey Alexx,

This is currently not possible. I have found multiple other people asking about the same thing:

https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/50870/where-can-i-see-my-mentions-in-confluence-4-2

https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/20080/search-pages-based-on-mentions

EDIT: Looks like I made a mistake with the provided feature request. Someone has filed it as a request for JIRA here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-27594 but there is no current existing feature request for Confluence. I encourage you to file one and link back to this question, and the associated JIRA request.

Cheers,
