Possible to suppress email notification on setting of custom nFeed fields

Matthew O' Hanlon June 22, 2014

We have the nFeed plugin which allows up to query our active directory and then sets custom fields in service requests (Jira Service Desk Issues). We also have the plugin Jira Email This Issue which we have configured to send email notifications on certain events like issue creation, updates, resolved, and closed. The problem we're having is that when the custom fields get set when a service request is created Jira counts that as several updates and Jeti promptly spams users with several useless emails. Is it possible to change the configuration of Jira events, nFeed, or Jeti that will suppress these email notifications or possibly so that setting these fields don't fire an event?

As a work around, I've gotten rid of the update email notification and made a work logged email notification, but we would like to know how to use the update event email notification in Jeti while still making use of nFeed.
