Importing Confluence 4.2.2 Space Data into Confluence 5.0 OD

Mobility Centre - Virgin Australia September 27, 2012

We would like to import Space data from an existing Confluence v4.2.2 instance into the Confluence 5.0 OD instance that has been purchased. Please can you answer the following questions:

1) Are you able to perform this import process on our behalf if we provide the exported space data?

2) The documentation online indicates that in order to convert the data to a format that can be import to 5.0 OD then an instance of 5.0 OD is required to be installed locally and the 4.2.2 data then imported into this first and being exported? Is this correct? Why can we import into a local stand-alone version of 5.0 OD and not into the actual hosted OnDemand instance?

3) In order to install 5.0 OD locally the installation asks for a license key - where can I find this?

It isn't that you need to install a local 5.0, but that you need to upgrade from 4.2.2 to 5.0 before you export. That export file can then be imported into another 5.0 installation.
