I am trying to change the look and feel of the global dashboard as the site admin. So I navigated to
Confluence Admin -> Layouts under Look and feel -> Edit (Global Layout)
I am not technically savvy, so do you have some tutorials showing me how to edit this long code segment to add in the stuff I want? Please help

This is one thing that really irritates me about Confluence and Jira. You take basic functionality that you know everyone wants and you try to nickel and dime us all to death by selling it to us.
