No images displayed for anonymous users in questions asked in a space

Edited

Hi,

We have the following issue:

When asking a question in a space with an attached image to the question.

- If the user is logged in, the text and the image of the question are visible

- if the user is logged out, only the text is visible . the image is not visible "Unknown Attachment".

Strangely, when asking a question not in a space with an attached image to the question. It works OK in both cases (user logged in, or not)

Note that indeed the permissions to view Questions in Confluence are given to anonymous users.

This is a blocking issue, we don't have any workaround.

Thanks for your help

Hello Benoit,

I believe this may be related to the following bug:

I'm working on testing a workaround, so could you please confirm your Confluence and Confluence Questions versions?

Thank you!
Shannon

Hello Shannon,

yes, this seems exactly related to the bug you mention.

Here are the versions installed on our server :

Confluence v6.2.1

Confluence Questions v2.5.5

thanks !

Benoît

Benoît,

I tested this even in the newest version 6.7.1 and it doesn't appear there's a workaround besides the one that you discovered by asking a question outside of a space.

I would recommend voting on the bug that I sent above since this helps keep track of the number of users who have run into the issue. Please also comment there with your findings.

Thank you for your understanding.

Regards,

Shannon
