Issue with Use Confluence macros with questions

Hi Team,

We installed questions for confluence 2.6.15 on confluence Dc 6.6.7 and the basic functionality of asking questions withing the space works fine.

However, we are not clear how the functionality "Confluence macros with questions" works as described in the wiki : https://confluence.atlassian.com/questions/integrate-questions-with-your-spaces-407724495.html

According to the documenation, i created "Ask a question" button from template, but it doesnot give an option to ask a question as described. It simply opens a blank screen when we click on it. please verify and let us know if any changes needs to be made on the template.

Thanks,

bhargavi.

Hello there Bhargavi!

This issue is known and reported here:

CONFSERVER-54005 | Template doesn't work with the "Ask a question" template from Confluence questions

The workaround that I could find for this situation was this:

  1. Click the Ask a Question button
  2. Let the window open
  3. Click the close option
  4. Click the Ask a Question button again

Doing this should open the question creation!

Thanks Diego!

Workaround seems to work but the ideal solution would be creating a question in the first attempt. Looking forward for the permanent fix.

Thanks for all the help!
