Which date format to create a Filter for Tickets created in a month withour hard coding the date?

Which date format to create a Filter for Tickets created in a month without hard coding the date?

I see that I have the option to set a date of x days on the past and the future, which is fine for a rolling period - OR I can hardcode a date, eg first of the year 

How do I get a report of just May 2021 cases without hard coding 05/01/2021?
