Is there a way to sync the Zendesk External ID to a field in JIRA?
Hi @Tebi Costamagna ,
This is Dhiren from Exalate.
Exalate, provides a fully bi-directional synchronization between Zendesk and Jira (among other ITSM systems) that is fully customizable. It is easy to set up and the entire customization can be configured using a no-code interface.
If you would like to see a customized demo of the product in action, feel free to book a slot with us.
Thanks
Dhiren
@Tebi Costamagna , hi. I see it's an old question but did you manage to find a solution to your issue? A custom solution will allow you to sync the data you want - like Zendesk External ID to a field in JIRA, as in your use case. Have you tried one? If not, you can check out ZigiOps. It's a no-code integration platform that allows the transfer of default fields (incident, task, bug, story, etc) + custom fields between the systems and syncs them in real-time. It's fully customizable and easy to use.
Feel free to take a look at it and if you want to know more about it &how it handles the Zendesk Jira integration, you can book a demo.
Regards,
Diana (ZigiWave team)

OpsHub Integration Manager (OIM) supports the bidirectional integration between Jira and Zendesk out of the box. The ‘Ticket’ in Zendesk can be synchronized with fields (System/Custom) in Jira.

Hello @Tebi Costamagna ,
Without knowing how you implemented the integration there is not much we can say. Can you kindly provide more details?
However, in case you are using the Zendesk for Jira free app, you may want to refer to the vendor documentation pages below:
Cheers,
Dario
