Which command notifies authors when a ticket is closed?

Robert Six November 15, 2017

Hello dear support team,
a customer uses the "Automation" plugin and wishes the authors of tickets to receive a notification when the ticket is closed. They must to receive a message via the notification scheme, but currently they will not receive one. Is there a rule in "Automation" which gives the authors a notification?
Thanks for your help.

Best regards
Robert

Hello,

You need explicitly to fire Closed Issue event on the transactions which lead to the Closed status. In this case your notification scheme would send a email for users who are defined in the notification scheme for Closed Issue event. To do that you have to open the necessary transaction in the workflow editor and change "Fire a XXX event that can be processed by the listeners" to "Fire a Issue Closed event that can be processed by the listeners".

In the Automation Plugin you should choose the "Publish event" action. And choose there Issue Closed event. Users, who are defined in the notification scheme for Closed Issue event, will receive notifications.
