What do the IDs mean when choosing a status for the "Issue Transitioned" trigger?

Nathan Given September 19, 2019

I'm not sure what the IDs are referencing?

Thank you~!

Those are the statuses IDs. They're used to reference each status but don't worrry too much because you don't need to know anything about that as the automation will take care of everything.

If you go to http://YOUR_JIRA_ADDRESS/secure/admin/ViewStatuses.jspa you'll see a list of every status defined in your instance.

Hovering your cursor over the EDIT link of each one of them you'll see in the bottom left corner of your screen something like http://YOUR_JIRA_ADDRESS/secure/admin/EditStatus!default.jspa?id=10101

Hope it helps :)

Thanks, that makes sense.

Do I need to put both "In Progress" statuses in the "To Status" field for the automation to work?

Although I think my Jira instance might be messed up, because when I go to the URL you indicated, I only see one "In Progress" status (the one with ID 3).

If I manually go to the edit status page for In Progress (10020), it comes up, but if I try to edit it, I get an error 500.

I'll probably open a ticket about it to Atlassian.

Thank you~!

Hi Nathan,

The one with ID 3 will cover most circumstances.

Do you have any NextGen projects? The one with ID 10020 is likely to be a project specific one and if you're having issues editing it it could well be a NextGen status.
