Webex App bot Integration with Jira Server error

Hi,

we have successfull connected the Webex App Jira bot with our Webex org. Every thing works fine. I can add/remeove/change notifications as long as the Webex App user is configured in Jira Server with administrative rights.

As a normal user i can link the Jira bot to my Jira account to give access rights to my issues. But if i want to configure a notification for the bot, i get the error message "Warning: The service encountered interruptions. Please check your inputs."

I can imagine that this could be a problem with access rights in Jira or similar. Do you know if i need to cosider any special access rights in Jira server for the users who wants to use a webex bot?

many thanks

Bjoern

Hello Bjoern,

the configuration page "Jira Server Bot Management" contains an according note:

Note: You need a Jira Server Administrator account to set up notifications.

Unfortunately afaik the Jira Server Admin cannot create notifications on behalf of another Jira user. The notifications are "linked" to his account.

Maybe it is worth it to raise a feature request at Cisco.

Kind regards,

Peter Bos
