This problem occurs across different pages in my Space. If the page remains without any page edits, the content lay out macro renders fine. But if accessing the page in edit mode and updating it, the content lay out macro only shows the image where it asks you to 'start editing your content lay out'
Hello Nadia,
Welcome to Atlassian Community! It's nice to meet you.
In order to assist you, I need some more information. Would you be able to show me an example of the problem, perhaps in a screenshot? What version of Confluence are you on, and what is your browser version?
Regards,
Shannon
Hi Shannon,
Chrome Version 76.0.3809.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)
I’m not sure where to find the confluence version number?
These are some screen shots.
After updating the page – the content created in my content lay out macro disappears.

Hello Nadia,
Thank you for that information! Although I no longer need it at this time, you'll be able to find your Confluence version at the bottom of your Confluence instance.
I've had a look at your screenshots. I had assumed you were referring to Confluence Page Layouts, but now it appears that you are using a 3rd party add-on for this.
I've researched add-ons available for Confluence, and I believe you might be using this one:
Can you have a look at that, and confirm with me if that appears to be installed on your instance?
If so, I would recommend raising a ticket with Refined Support. They'll be able to help you with the issue you're encountering.
Once resolved, be sure to come back here and let us know what the problem was, in case it can help other users in the future.
Regards,
Shannon

I do have the same exact issue.
If the page where the 'Content Layout Macro' is edited, the content layout macro resets itself and becomes empty.
Today I wanted to change the title of the confluence page from WIP to done...when I did that, the content Layout Macro was showed empty.
