Should Comala parameter defaults be edited in the space tools tab or the workflow builder?

Once a parameter from a workflow is listed in the Parameters tab, it looks like the parameter default exists in two places. When the parameter default is edited in space tools, does it update the workflow builder? When the default is edited in the workflow builder, does it update the Parameters tab?

Hi @Tim H_,

You are correct that once a workflow is configured with a parameter, you will see default values in both the workflow builder and in the Parameters tab. The default values are kept separate by design, so (for example) updating the default value in the Parameters tab will not automatically update the default value in the workflow builder.

If a default parameter value is specified in the Parameters tab, it will take precedence over the workflow supplied value. A use case where this can be helpful is when using a Global workflow. For example, a space admin might want to change the default value of a specific parameter, but only for use within a specific space. Using the default Parameter value allows the space specific parameter value to be set, while not altering the Global workflow.

Hopefully this explains the behavior you are seeing!
