Hey guys, 

 

Wondering if anyone has encountered this error while trying to perform a bulk cloning operations using Bob Swift - Clone Plus for Jira on Atlassian Marketplace. I am trying to clone a couple of Story onto another project, it's showing the error due to the initial story has an epic link unable to clone it onto destination project. However i am able to clone the same very story onto other projects it is successful. Appreciate if anyone could help me on this.

I can replicate this by

Creating an Epic (let's say it has a key of PSE-37, and t's called "Bob")

  • Creating another issue ABC-123
  • Set the epic link on ABC-123 to "Bob"
  • Go back the PSE-37 and use "move" to change it to a story 

Now, when cloning ABC-123, it fails because the Epic link is still there, but it can't be placed on the cloned issue because PSE-37 is no longer an Epic.

Could that be the case?
