Question about Configuration Manager for JIRA

We are planning to use Configuration Manager for JIRA addon/plugin to try and refresh our Test JIRA environment from Production JIRA. Our challenge is to be able to copy only the Configuration items over from Production into Test. We are using the JIRA 5.2 version and the addon seems to only work with JIRA versions 6.0 and above. Is it worthwhile to try this addon with this version of JIRA? Does anybody know of any tools/ addons/ plugins that are available that will work with our version of JIRA for the above purpose?

Hi Kshama,

Configuration Manager for JIRA will not work with JIRA 5.2. Its core where all the logic resides is compatible with 5.x but not the UI as it depends on JIRA UI libraries that are not compatible with JIRA 5.x.

If this is one time effort we can help you move the configuration as part of consulting engagement.
In addition we can help you upgrade to 6.x so that you can realize the improvements the JIRA itself as will as the many new add-ons which are developed for 6.x specifically.
