Hello,

I'm new to the JIRA Misc Custom Fields add-on and I wanted to get a calculated text field to do the following:

I have a project with epics, stories, tasks and subtasks. On Epics I have a field called Subproject (Select List (multiple choices)) where the user can select any of the options in the list.

On my stories and tasks I need a calculated field Subproject2 where I obtain the value of the Subproject field from the linked Epic.

For my subtasks I want the value of the Subproject2 field to be the value of its parent's Subproject2 field.

Can anyone help me with the script?

Thanks in advance,

Jacques.

Thanks Lukasz,

This question is over 5 years old (2017). I no longer recall the situation I was trying to solve and if I was able to solve this in any other way.

If I had the option I would delete this question as being no longer valid.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to write! :)
