Cloning feature control using a JIRA group in bulk clone basic plug-in. This is very useful to control bulk clone, since cloning large no of tickets is a some kind of performance intensive task (It may cause slowness in JIRA). But, I've noticed that bulk clone pro version use JIRA default bulk change permission. Therefore we are unable to control ticket cloning in JIRA.

To overcome this issue;

  1. Is it possible to provide same controlling mechanism which is use in bulk clone basic using JIRA group for Bulk Clone Pro version too?
  2. Can we limit no of tickets to clone using bulk clone pro by editing system file/front end config?

Please let me know whether these features are available in bulk clone pro version. If not, could you please logged these requests as feature requests?

Hi

  1. Anwer to question 1, is no, it is limited by the glocal setting of BULK_CHANGE and the persmision scheme for te actual project you are cloning from, which the user has to have "CREATE_ISSUES" rights as well as the project you are cloning too. It adheres to the JIRA standard for and "BULK_CHANGE" operations
  2. No there is currently no such limitation possibilites
