Jira + Zephyr for Test Repository Maintenance

Kanchanamala K July 31, 2018

Has anyone used Jira + Zephyr integrated toolset for creating and managing test repository across not just agile projects but also otherwise?  While one did explore some of the features to check how tractability matrix is achieved through Jira, one is unable to effectively create an end to end trace at multi hierarchy levels like say (i) Business Requirements, (ii) User Journey, (iii) Test Scenario, (iv) Test Case & Steps, (v) Defects and track across test preparation and test execution.

Hello Kanch,

We have a number of customers who use our Structure app for such use cases. Some were migrating to Jira from other tools like Rally, where they could manage their tests in nice hierarchical views. During the migration, they converted over 5k tests into Zephyr tests and used Structure to organize those.

Others started with Jira + Zephyr straight away and used Structure to create and manage tests right in the Structure view.

The app can be useful for a number of other use cases too:

Feel free to give it a try installing it in your instance, or use our demo instance:
