Hi,
used automation to create a cloned issue on a new board but getting issues when trying to link the new issue to the master issue - is this possible within JIRA automation?
thanks!
:)
Hi @Jaipal Singh ,
when you're cloning the issue in Automation, you should set the "Linked Issues" field in order to create the link between the issues. This is how I've done it :
Let me know if this helps,

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I think all you are missing is to click on "Choose fields to set" and then to choose "Linked Issues". Then you will get the same screen as Alexis.

I found that the issuelink field needs to be on the create form in my case.
Is there a way that I can have the link created between the parent and clone without exposing the issuelinks field on the create form?
We like to keep our forms as clean as possible.
Thanks,
Jonathan

I've created an automation tab on my create forms to get around this situation.
If the users touch those fields, then they are in trouble!
