How to use smart value in issue link

how is it possible to link a issue based on a smart value (Issue LookUp).

I can only select "Trigger issue" and "Most recently created issue", but I want to link the issue based on a smart value from the lookup action the step befor...

Hi John,

I'm working on Jira Cloud.

With the action "Link Issues" it should be possible to use smart-values to link issues.

But how do I enter a smart value?

In the dropdown I have only two options

nevermind! You have to start typing to enter a smat value like {{lookupIssues.key}}...

Not very user friendly.

Also, can you share the rule you have so far and what is not working? 

Finally, are you Jira Cloud or Server?
