How to copy sprint from epic to story in Project Automation Edited

I would like to copy a sprint from an epic, when a story is assigned to it.

I've tried:

When value changes for: Epic Issues Count

Branch Rule: For stories (or other issues in Epic)

Action: Then Copy sprint from current issue

The logs show:

Branch rule / related issues

No related issues that have been updated since the last time this rule executed could be found. To include all issues, un-check the 'Only include issues that have changed since the last time this rule executed' checkbox.

Checking the field 'Epic Issues Count' shows 0, so I suspect this may be a custom field that isn't working.

Perhaps there's another way of knowing when an epic has had an issue added?

Done this another way.
When value changes for Epic Link
Then edit issue fields sprint - Copy sprint from Epic issue

I didn't realise the issue to copy value from was configurable, as the UI doesn't make that clear.
