How can I get the Harvest add on to log work done against the Jira task?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I have enabled the Harvest add on in Jira and the timing works well and records this in Harvest and shows the total time spen in the Harvest time tracking section. However, this does not then log work against the estimated time for the task (so it does not take this into account when showing the time remaining).
