The Systems Administrator position administers, maintains and improves efficiencies of tools and processes used for managing issues; store, maintain, build source code; and deploy artifacts in, both, on premise and cloud-based deployment paradigms.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Basic Linux and Windows Server administration capabilities
- 2+ years of work experience with build/release engineering and configuration management of enterprise-level software
- Experience with JIRA Administration and Atlassian tools required
- Solid working knowledge of Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Experience with software development applications and tools.
- Proficiency with at least one scripting language.
- Experience in the following areas: CI/CD pipeline software, Docker Containers, Artifact repository management.
- Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies
- Server System Management (Microsoft Windows, Linux) experience
- Experience with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise-level software
- Work experience with troubleshooting technical problems across different applications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Administrate user access and authorization for DevOps Ecosystem tools (JIRA, Bamboo, Nexus) by mapping Atlassian Crowd users with Active Directory groups
- Administer JIRA project portfolio.
- Create, maintain, and socialize JIRA filters.
- Administer Bamboo build and deploy jobs.
- Administer version upgrades of JIRA and Bamboo applications and their respective infrastructure without impact to customer set
- Proactively monitors and mitigates application performance bottlenecks and issues
- Tests new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility; and plans JIRA and Bamboo upgrades in accordance to necessary plug-in availability
- Develop and maintain build platforms, packaging, deployment, testing, and releases
- Proactively engages development teams to develop accurate and efficient build schedules to maximize build and deployment job throughput
- Researches new tools, technologies, or processes that could improve source DevOps processes; and prepares cost-benefit analysis reports on research
- Develops documentation to scale knowledge of tools and processes used within the DevOps processes
