A top performing Fund Manager is looking to hire a talented JIRA/Confluence Administrator/Developer for it's team of 3 in either Chicago or NYC locations. 

 

This will be a full-time, direct hire with the Fund and will facilitate remote working initially, with the view to relocation soon after.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Jira/Confluence Server instances for the firm.
  • Day-to-day management and administration of JIRA including workflows, custom fields, dashboards, reports, security schemas, issue schemas, project creation, etc.
  • Work with stakeholders to determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA setup and workflows. Map current processes and establish goals for improving, automating, and increasing the technical agility of the organization.
  • Provide end-user coaching, training, and support.
  • Perform some basic project management, communications, and reporting duties.
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports.
  • Perform version upgrades and provide support to various Business and Development teams as needed.
  • Interact with Business and Development teams in understanding and implementing their requirements.
  • Promote adoption and best practices of these tools and associated methodologies.
  • Develop scripts to automate administration tasks.
  • Document usage and configuration of the development environment.

 

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate Must have:

  • Experience in administering Jira and Confluence for at least 4+ yrs, with knowledge of configuring and customizing JIRA workflows, issue types, fields, permission, and screen schemes.
  • Experience in interacting with different Business/Development and IT functions in understanding their requirements, building solutions, and delivering them.
  • Experience in using Jira Script runner for advanced customization and automation.
  • Experience with scripting languages (groovy, python, bash or others)

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience in writing Confluence User macros, designing templates, PDF stylesheets.
  • Experience in using Jira Script runner for advanced customization and automation.
  • Familiarity in using plugins like Jira Portfolio, Structure, Confi forms, Elements Connect and Refinedwiki,
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management concepts, Development workflow, Build, and Deployment framework.
  • A good understanding of enterprise environment including integration with Active Directory, DNS, MS SQL Server / RDBMS, and Linux.  A healthy appreciation of data preservation and entitlement policies.
  • Knowledge of underlying database schemas and the ability to dig into the database when necessary.  May assist with large data imports and project migrations.
  • Motivation to promote DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Agile Development Methodologies.
