Job Description:
Responsible for maintaining, customizing and developing a number of software systems for the Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence and associated addons), Freshdesk, Sharepoint, Etc. Ideally the candidate will have database administration experience to help us maintain the performance and security of our ERP solution and various internally developed software applications.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for maintaining, customizing and developing a number of software systems for the Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence and associated addons), Freshdesk, Sharepoint, etc. Ideally the candidate will have database administration experience to help us maintain the performance and security of our ERP solution and various internally developed software applications.
- Serve as SME and evangelist for all Atlassian products as well as other products we use. Integrate Atlassian products into our other solutions (directly or indirectly). Using Confluence, document our Atlassian solution as appropriate. Monitor and manage Atlassian product usage to ensure we are controlling costs. Provide user training on Atlassian and other software products to improve adoption and effective use of the tools.
- Work directly with internal customers to understand their project requirements and drive solutions that meet their needs while maintaining solid practices. Create and maintain scripts and automations.
- Act as backup for day-to-day IT issues when other members are OOO or workload spikes.
- Effectively manage project and configuration sprawl within Atlassian portfolio for improved maintainability and performance.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 5+ years of IT experience
- BS or higher technology (CS, CSE, EE, etc.) degree
- Minimum of 3 years active administration of Atlassian products
- Experience with database administration
- Excellent customer service and teaming skills
- Self-starter
- Strong desire to improve software systems and operational processes
- Experience with both Cloud and Server Atlassian offerings
HIGHLY DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Atlassian certification (ACP-JA, CA, ISD, etc.)
- Software experience (Javascript, Python, HTML, CSS, MSSQL, etc.)
- Integration of Atlassian products with other software systems
- Web page development
- DB Admin
- Azure, AWS or similar cloud deployment experience
- ERP administration experience
