The Field Services team within Atlassian provides outbound technical services and delivery to our largest customers. We enhance our customers' and partners' product knowledge & solution capabilities, and continuously clear the path to broader adoption via the benefit of Atlassian's direct knowledge and guidance.
As a Business System Administrator for Field Services, you will be integral to ensuring Atlassians can collaborate with our biggest customers. You will work directly with customer-facing teams to build and scale their systems, tools, and data to ensure Atlassians are connected to our customers in real time.
This business-critical role is a hybrid of traditional jobs in SysAdmin, Operations, and Customer Intelligence. The ideal candidate should be familiar with Atlassian Cloud Products, managing sensitive data, and RESTful services. This role is key in the growth, scale, and security of our customer facing systems and will drive innovation around customer data and intelligence.

In this role, you’ll get to:
- Support the Field Services organization. You will partner closely with Leadership across several customer facing teams to create a best-in-class collaboration ecosystem for Atlassians and our enterprise customers. Leveraging Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and BI tools.
- Support Technical Account Managers (TAMs) with new account onboarding and reporting. We need to ensure we have a scalable and highly automated approach to spinning up new spaces.
- Build foundational integrations across our systems for data gathering, secure user management and scalability as we continue to grow.
- Drive data connectivity across systems leveraging RESTful services, SQL, python, and web development (Apache)
- Support Solution Architects as they scale their day to day systems providing secure, stable, and efficient solutions to a dynamic set of business and product challenges
- Provide insights and develop innovative uses of our systems to drive more value delivery across the teams. Through the dual lens of sysadmin and developer style problem solving.
- Ensure customer data and sensitive company data is being maintained in line with company compliance standards.
On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:
- 4-7 years administering Atlassian products preferably with exposure to 2,000+ user cloud instances
- Expertise in Python and SQL and proficiency in relational and non-relational databases
- Ability to develop and work with RESTful services
- Knowledge of Git
- Strong understanding of security and compliance protocols specific to sensitive data, for example, GDPR compliance.
- Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
- Strong business acumen and comfortable engaging at all levels in an organization to deliver results
- Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly articulate ideas and analysis in written and verbal form to a variety of audiences
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail: ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel
