The problem is that the "https://developer.atlassian.com/static" site does not host the Javadoc of every version of every Atlassian product.

If you go to the main page, you can see that the only JIRA javadoc that's available is for JIRA 6.0.1, JIRA 5.2.11, JIRA 5.1.8, JIRA 5.0.5, IRA 4.4.1, JIRA 4.3.4, JIRA 4.2.4 and JIRA 4.1.2.

I agree that this is pretty crappy! We're actually working on a project right now to automate this static docs site so that everyone version of every Atlassian product is available.

In the meantime, you can see all the javadoc on http://docs.atlassian.com - it's not as pretty, but everything is there. In your particular case, the link is https://docs.atlassian.com/jira/5.1.1/com/atlassian/jira/issue/link/IssueLink.html#getDestinationObject()

Where was this wrong link used? And for 5.1 it is https://developer.atlassian.com/static/javadoc/jira/5.1/reference/com/atlassian/jira/issue/link/IssueLink.html#getDestinationObject%28

these links are generated by the checkup tool, and they include the version of jira you tested against. For example I found that if I test against version "5.0" it will work but not for others including 5.1, 5.1.1, or 4.4.5. If atlassian decided to lower the number of documentations published the hyperlink should link to one that exists. Probably it would be easier to implement this in web server configuration with a redirect.

Studio was migrated and the project now is at https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/PAPIA

You can raise the request there.
