Set password question

Hi All,

I am ina big trouble: I restore a backup from a different Jira instance where I had a user account. The problem is that I cannot login anymore because my password is not the same as I remember.

But because I cannot remember, I could not make another restore. So I have now a Jira instance in my server where I cannot login.

Can you please help?

Many thanks in advance!

Rumi

Hi Rumceisz,

You can change your password to 'sphere' by running the following directly into your JIRA database

update cwd_user set credential='uQieO/1CGMUIXXftw3ynrsaYLShI+GTcPS4LdUGWbIusFvHPfUzD7CZvms6yMMvA8I7FViHVEqr6Mj4pCLKAFQ==' where user_name='XXXX';

Please remember to change XXXX to your user name.

You can find more information on how to retrieve the JIRA adminstrator here.

Hope this helps,

Marcus
