Hi, in this question:
https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/185867
Ulrich Nack asked:
"Is it possible to search in a Jira custom label-field with wildcards like "Label1.*" or "Label1.?.0"
The answer ist: No, and the according improvement suggestion is closed without having been realized.
My question: Is there a plugin that can do this?
This plugin:
seems to search only in the standard labels field, or did I get this wrong?
Yes! We use Scriptrunner JQL functions in our instance (JIRA Server 7.1.8) for this. Use the issueFieldMatch function, which lets you use a regex to search.
Documentation here: https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/jql-functions.html#_issuefieldmatch
Thanks Amy! We´ll check this. At first sight it looks a little overzized for our purpose, because (1) offers much more functionality than we need and (2) is licensed per JIRA user which makes it quite expensive for us.
However, maybe we can later use it for more purposes than currently needed.
Does anybody know a cheaper (e.g. not license-bound) tool?
