Plugin for Agile reporting for custom issue types

nkmori@rtx.com September 3, 2024

I know you cannot use the out of the box Jira reporting with custom issue types.  Is there a plugin available that can provide the same type of agile reporting that your built in jira reporting provides?

nkmori@rtx.com I suggest taking a look at Analytics & Reports by Screenful. It works with custom Jira issue types and has a library of 15+  customizable charts. You can learn more by checking out the Getting Started guide.

Hello nkmori@rtx.com

Are there specific reports that Jira provides that you are interested in?

What information did you use to reach the conclusion that the Jira reports don't support custom issue types?

I asked and this was the answer

Jira / question

Do custom issue types work with the built-in jira agile reports

Hi  @nkmori_rtx_com

Short answer, no this will not work.

I think PM was looking at the Epic Burndown and Epic Burnup Reports.  Those reports don't work for us now because all of our issue types are custom and they live in separate projects,  We were looking at combining all the issue types into 1 project.  Program Management says there is alot of built in functionality that does not work because of our custom issue types and having the issue types in separate projects.

In your other post you said:

Our Hierarchy is:

Epic

Capability

Feature

Story - DR

Subtask

How have you created that hierarchy? Did you modify the Issue Type Hierarchy at

Yes we did, but the current configuration is each of those issue types are in its own project.  We were exploring combining all these issue types with the exception of DRs in one project.  The problem is our top level issue type is EPIC, if we use the built in issue types the Epic is the top level.  So everything is named EPIC (EPIC Link, EPIC Name, etc) which in our hierarchy is the Feature
