Our vendor is using its own Jira instance. We have a requirement to export just one project from the vendor's instance to our Jira instance. How can it be done?
All of the said is very true - and mirrors to 100% my past experience.
Just adding that for cases you need a, let's say, 80%-solution a CSV export on old instance and CSV import on new instance could be at least a starting point.
Yes, you would need to do all the configuration for project, including worklows, schemes, users on your own - probably from scratch. But at least, and this the complete effort is only for, you would not have to start by "issue no. 1" again in new instance.
Also, for issues not all data is kept but at least you do not lose issue data.

There's nothing built in, but there are apps in the marketplace that can do it. Have a look in the marketplace for Project Configurator and Configuration Manager (I work for one of the vendors of those two, and those are the two I've used a lot, there are some others, but I'm not familiar with them)

Hello @manish.chandra Welcome
This is a much-needed requirement for many suppliers I work for aswell :(
but There is not direct way to do it.
here are some older (old) threads for you to have a look

There is a Jira App Project Configurator for Jira (I have not tried this)
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211147/project-configurator-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview
What I did is, we will have to create another instance of the Jira and delete all the not required projects and keep the required ones. (this is a messy activity which I done recommend)

Also Vote for this Requirement, they have a plan to get this implemented in the Future
(more the votes faster the implementation ;)
