How to display Assets Object Field data in Jira Automation email

Hi all,

I have two custom fields that are Assets Objects. I want to display the values of these fields in an email that is generated via Automation, but I'm having trouble figuring them out. They come through in email differently even though they are configured the same way.

{{issue.Custom Asset Object Field One.value}} displays as "Value (Key)"

{{issue.Custom Asset Object Field Two.value}} displays nothing despite having a visible entry on the issue itself.

For both of these, I only want the value displayed in the email notification (not the key).

Any insight (ha!) here would be very much appreciated.

Yes, this can be done by using Assets smart values. So if you want the name for the object in your two custom fields your smart value would look something like this:
