How can I see what project type a project was setup as on creation?

Joanne May 4, 2016

We have mostly SCRUM projects but some other types also i.e. KANBAN setup in JIRA and I want to see what type the project was setup initially as?  Is this stored somewhere so I can get a report - you would have thought it would show on the show all projects page?  We are looking to get metrics and need to split these out as only interested in some. Is this possible using 6.3.14 - upgrading to 6.4 soon.

Project type isn't stored in that version of JIRA - it's just a template, a direction for initial setup of the project.

Later versions of JIRA do store something, but it's mostly still not a direct reference to the template used, but the class of project (that appears in the project list though)
