How can I create a request in Service management from Jira Software?

David Meadow April 22, 2021

I want Jira Software to create a Change Request in Service Management when the issue is transitioned to a specific status. I see how to create an issue in Software from JSM but not the other way.

@David Meadow You will need an app to do this on server.  You can use Automation for Jira - Server Lite (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211836/automation-for-jira-server-lite?hosting=server&tab=overview)

Or you can use paid apps like JSU or ScriptRunner.

Hi @David Meadow ,

You will be able to use the Create a Linked Issue postfunction from JSU, please see the page https://beecom-products.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSU/pages/25680448/Create+a+Linked+Issue which explains the postfunction in detail.

We have also raised a support ticket https://beecom-products.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3/JSU-3513 in our support portal if in case you need any further information. However, we couldn't add you as a reporter. Please sign up using this link https://beecom-products.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3/user/signup and share the user name/id. We'll then add you as the reporter and confirm.
