Can JIRA issues be linked to another server on transition?

When linking across JIRA instances via the More --> Link option, you have the ability to select which server to link to.

When Linking on an issue transition, the Server panel does not exist.  Does anyone know of a way to link to a JIRA issue on another instance during a workflow transition?

Much appreciated!  I'll look into some of those results.  Do you have any personal recommendation on them?  If that's to heavy of a question I'll do some trials.

Hi Patrick,

This functionality is not native to JIRA so you'd need an add-on, something like:
