Resolution Field in Issues while transitioning to DONE state

All available documentation for Jira Cloud suggest that for the new workflow we should be adding either a Screen or Post function to get to Resolution Field while closing an issue to DONE state.

However there seems to be a default post function that moves all issues to Resolution=DONE as the final step, hence any added Screen does not have any effect. 

I do not want to use another post function as there is no default Resolution field entry.

There is no known documentation to change the default Post function behavior.

Any ideas on resolution .....

[For the record, letting users manage the Resolution Field is a much better idea than changing it to force us all to read/search Jira to get this right]
